PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Account Manager is a key member of the Dealer account management team and works under the direction of the Account Director in the Field Office. The primary responsibility of the AAM is to manage the day-to-day functions on the account and be the liaison between the Account Management Team and the agency team. Much will be asked of the AAM and a "can do" attitude and spirit is necessary for success. The way we reach consumers through our advertising efforts is always evolving and a desire to find new ways to reach consumers across more modern methods to connect consumers with Ford brand/product will be embraced. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: The nature of the AAM's position requires ongoing and frequent interactions with agency professionals, clients and outside suppliers as follows: * Internal to Agency - the AAM has daily contact with and provides clear, succinct direction to all team members in Account Services, Creative Services, Operations, Media, Digital, Analytics, Print and Broadcast Production department. * External to Agency - the AAM has contact with vendors regarding materials for client promotions, sponsorship activities. Contact with the client is managed and developed with the Account Director * Create a working environment that encourages and supports a positive mindset about the work as well as the client and agency staff that is involved. * Work with Agency Team to initiate, manage and complete processes across Account, Creative, Media, Digital, Analytics and Strategy related to all advertising mediums * Help manage Ford sponsorships with the Account Team. * Must deliver on our agency goal of precision retail marketing, meaning a constant curiosity in daily activities and client presentations to find the right message for the right person at the right time. * An understanding of paid social and social community management. MEETING RESPONSIBILITIES: * Schedule and set up monthly Dealer Board meeting and coordinate invites, hotel arrangements, etc. * Create Meeting Agenda with input of Account Management and clients. * Assist in development and compilation of presentations as needed. * Client presentation is managed and developed with Account Director. OTHER ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT DUTIES: * Draft and distribute dealer correspondence. * Review and update weekly reporting of spend, planning and performance across advertising mediums * Facilitate special requests as needed (Tickets, hotel rooms, dealer info requests, etc) * Maintain and support all company standards as specified within the Quality Management System. * Supports/facilitates the mandatory adherence to ISO9001 requirements, processes and procedures. * Perform other duties and projects as assigned. * KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: * Use sound and logical judgment. * Possess a keen eye for detail. * Establish priorities and objectives while adapting to changes in workload and working conditions without loss of productivity on multiple projects at once. * Interpret information, draw conclusions and present findings from various analytics and reports. * Take action without direction from others. * Maintain constructive behavior in the face of adversity. * Deliver clear, concise and accurate messages both verbally and written. * Be knowledgeable and proficient on regularly used programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Publisher and internal programs) as well as the Internet. * Limited trouble-shooting of network and PC issues as needed. * Have an understanding of all advertising mediums or a specific interest/experience in broadcast, digital, search, sponsorships and/or social advertising. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred. * Must live within San Diego County * 0-1 year of advertising experience, preferably on the Account side of the business, as well as related advertising duties and/or fields that might be a good fit based on the Job Description. * Have physical and mental requirements to meet the above listed job responsibilities. The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
