About This Role The Department of Management in the College of Business Administration (CBA) at Kansas State University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track, full-time Assistant Professor position in the Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) area. The candidate will be responsible for research, teaching, and service activities in the CBA. Research: Consistent with departmental guidelines, the candidate will be expected to publish in high-quality academic journals in the OSCM area and develop a strong research record. Teaching: Desired area of teaching experience or interest should include supply chain management with an emphasis on supply chain analytics, sustainability and/or risk management. The CBA has a strong emphasis on data analytics as part of its innovative curriculum. Service: The candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to collegiality and shared governance. What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in OSCM or a closely-related area from an AACSB accredited university. ABDs will also be considered but must be in a position to complete their Ph.D. within 6 months of their employment date at Kansas State University. Ability to publish in high-quality journals in the OSCM area and develop a strong research track-record. Preferred Qualifications: Strong research record as demonstrated through publications in top academic journals and presentations at national academic conferences. Prior university teaching experience in OSCM. Ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: Supply Chain Analytics, Sustainability, or Risk Management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Related professional work experience. Commitment to understanding the perspectives of others both in the classroom and when collaborating with colleagues. Sponsorship Eligibility: This position is eligible for sponsorship.
