As part of the Economic Justice Department at Latino Network, the Active Transportation Outreach Administrator candidate will collaborate with staff, community and other stakeholders to achieve program goals, meet and document measurable outcomes, contribute to a collegial and productive work environment, and promote the organization's vision and mission, prioritizing the team well-being and fostering a culture of collaboration, harmony, and joy. POSITION SUMMARY This position is funded through the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund. Latino Network's Active Transportation Outreach [ATO] project will elevate community and the trust we have built through our work, to reduce carbon emissions through various initiatives, including access to public transit, bike distribution, and educational workshops. This position requires excellent follow-through, great attention to detail, strong writing skills, and excellent communication through one-on-one meetings, phone, email, and group communication with Latino Network community partners, staff, and program participants. The person serving in this position must have facilitation, budgetary, and program management experience and be able to guide conversations clearly in English and Spanish. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Collaborate with the program manager to recruit steering committee members; design and facilitate meetings; and communicate progress. * Identify and build partnerships with BIPOC and woman-owned businesses, to support project implementation. * Collaborate with the program manager and steering committee to create a project work plan that elevates community voice. * Host community listening sessions to gather feedback for project implementation. * Build a learning toolkit, in collaboration with community partners, to build trust and understanding of the impacts and benefits of active transportation. * Collaborate with partners to adapt/adopt/develop curricula, as needed. * Identify trainers/presenters that align with PCEF priority populations, to help host culturally specific workshops throughout the grant cycle. * Design and implement a referral and enrollment strategy to distribute bikes, TriMet passes, and additional resources throughout the grant cycle. * Identify tools to track desired outcomes such as miles traveled and CO2 emissions reduced. * Track attendance, partner feedback, and qualitative data through pre and post-surveys. * Data entry into Portland Clean Energy Fund and Latino Network data tracking software. * Adheres to deadlines established by the program manager and partners to ensure that projects are completed on time. * Properly document and submit all program expenditures on time. * Adherence to all Latino Network policies and procedures. * Maintain effective working relationships with other agency members, partners, and community members, including those from diverse cultures or backgrounds or those who speak limited or no English. * Attend all required team meetings, staff meetings, and trainings. * Drive between Latino Network's Portland and La Plaza Esperanza offices for regular training and meetings. * Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. * Engagement in personal and professional development. * Perform any additional duties as directed by the Program Manager and/or Director. Requirements SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Minimum 3 years combined education, training and experience in workforce development or a related field. Examples of experience, education and training that fulfill this requirement include, but are not limited to, volunteer or paid work, internships, community-based training and workshops, community college, trade school, university courses and degrees. Experience, training and education from inside and outside of the United States are considered equally. Transferable skills and lived experience will be considered. * Preferred experience in cycling culture, accessibility, and mobility. * Experience successfully collaborating with communities of color and people traditionally underrepresented in decision-making; facilitating inclusive participation in programs and activities; and communicating cross-culturally. * Experience working with multiple calendars, competing interests, and priorities. * Demonstrate competence with systems such as Google Suites tools, Word, Excel, and Adobe, or the ability to translate experience with other comparable systems. * Demonstrate ability to work independently, leading a team, and as a collaborative team member. * Demonstrate experience working with complex systems, agencies, and government and private organizations. * Proficient oral communication skills in Spanish and English (including public speaking). * Employ critical thinking and confidence in decision-making and carrying out actions. * Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and automobile liability insurance required; eligibility to be an insured driver under Latino Network's Commercial Auto Liability preferred. * Ability to pass a criminal background check as needed.
