This role involves delivering applications support to the teams supporting our corporate event and association clients. You will be tasked with creating and maintaining websites inside of association management and registration platforms, providing technical support for a range of SaaS platforms, and helping us stay on top of the latest best practices in association and event technology.The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, managing various aspects of platforms such as websites, registration, abstracts, and conference apps. You'll be part of a supportive and experienced technology team whose members independently devise the best strategies and resources to achieve business objectives, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Essential Functions Provide top-tier application support for various cloud-based platforms used by our team members and clients, interfacing with those platform support teams when needed. Document solutions for issues likely to recur. Equip team members to become increasingly capable of resolving issues that do not require a programmer's expertise. Configure on-brand event registration sites, event mobile apps and other event-specific technology platforms using third-party cloud-based solutions. Manage data imports into event mobile apps and other platforms. Develop and maintain integrations between applications using API interfaces to streamline processes and improve productivity. Collaborate with client support teams to evaluate, recommend, demo, and implement new technology solutions that align with client needs and goals. Stay informed about new technology solutions that may benefit our clients. Provide technical support when needed to support the maintenance of association client websites and event websites and their related integrations. Communicate regularly with client teams to understand pain points and opportunities that may be served by technology solutions. Provide on-site event technology support at events throughout the U.S. Produce post-event reports related to event technology use. Work in a challenging and dynamic environment involved with many facets of association management and event platforms. Become a self-directed learner: you will receive assignments in the form of business objectives and then determine the best approach, resources, technology, schedules, and goals. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience and certifications). At least 2-3 years of experience in a software application support or software development role. Technical skills: Familiarity with database management (SQL) for maintaining, extracting, and optimizing data within systems. Coding skills in programming languages such as ASP.NET, C# or PHP for developing and customizing platform integrations. Experience with VB.net and Visual Studio. Working knowledge of languages and tools related to web development such as: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. WordPress or other Content Management Systems. Quick, eager learner of new software applications. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills and upbeat personality. Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication as well as strong follow up. Good time management skills are a must as multiple projects and clients are worked on concurrently. Ability to travel and support on-site technology needs approximately twice a month or 24 times per year. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting event management technology (Stova, Cvent, or event mobile applications), association management software systems (YourMembership, MemberClicks, or similar), or other marketing or website software platforms (WordPress, HigherLogic, digital marketing tools, and content management systems). Experience integrating technology solutions and platforms using custom coding solutions (REST API). Certifications in relevant technologies. WORKPLACE LOCATION REQUIREMENTS This position is based in our Atlanta office with a combination of remote and in-office presence.Travel Requirements Ability to travel approximately 25-35% of the time.Scheduling Requirements Flexibility in scheduling, including working evenings and weekends as needed to meet client, event, or company needs.Essential Physical Functions And Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Frequently operates a computer and other electronic equipment.
