Primary City/State: Phoenix, Arizona Department Name: Marketing-Ref Lab Work Shift: Day Job Category: Marketing and Communications POSITION SUMMARY The Strategic Account Manager/Account Executive is responsible for maintaining and expanding executive-level relationships with strategic, large corporate accounts. Drives for maximum sales growth and profitability by capturing new accounts and representing the entire Sonora Quest Laboratories range of services and offerings to assigned customers, while leading the customer strategic plan, and ensuring assigned customers' need and expectations are met in the best interest of Sonora Quest Laboratories business objectives. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Works collaboratively with sales team to monitor and ensure customer satisfaction with on-going solutions provided; develops proposals to enhance business relationships and to expand our service offering within assigned strategic accounts. Targets accounts for growth in line with target markets and accounts identified; regional market strategy; implements fee increases or price changes; introduces new products and services. 2. Establishes productive, professional relationships with executive-level personnel in targeted opportunities to engage them in discussions about existing and emerging needs/market demands and position Sonora Quest as an exclusive or preferred strategic business partner. 3. Proactively leads and executes communication strategies with assigned opportunities and relationships including discovery, business planning, strategic initiatives, project execution as well as measures and monitors post-implementation. 4. Participates and aspires to leadership and speaker roles in targeted community organizations, government affairs and company sponsored events/tradeshows to promote the company's visibility to the Arizona community and the healthcare industry. 5. Seeks out profitable business development opportunities in the market including new ventures, segment-specific strategies, partnerships and/or pilots. Executes solutions by leading cross functional teams of internal and external stakeholders to successful launch and measure phases. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES DIRECTLY REPORTING None MATRIX OR INDIRECT REPORTING None TYPE OF SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY On-site responsibilities include involvement in intra-departmental and inter-departmental communications and activities. Internal customers- all employees with LSA/SQL. External customers - Corporate Administration (C-Suite), Physicians, nurses, office personnel, and vendors. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking. May be required to lift up to 20 pounds. Requires significant use of personal computer, phone and general office equipment. Needs adequate visual acuity, ability to grasp and handle objects. Ability to communicate effectively. Requires off-site travel. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or the Life Sciences or five (5) years of experience selling healthcare solutions, preferably Laboratory Medicine, into medium to large sized physician practices and/or corporate-structured accounts. * Expertise in territory management and organization. * Strong understanding of the Corporate Healthcare structure, workflow, and economics. * Proven track record of consistent success in sales performance and customer satisfaction. * Excellent communication and human relations skills. * Must possess a valid state driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience with Salesforce and proficiency in MS Excel. Additional education and direct sales experience.
