Base pay range $115,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Who We Are Sitting on a quiet tree-lined street in Soho, twelve floors rise above the neighborhood's storied lofts, boutiques, and galleries. The name derives from the particular manner of hospitality, one that feels more like staying at the home of a dear friend than at a hotel "” discreet, refined, generous. Our hotel has 90 rooms and suites with four distinct F&B concepts led by an acclaimed chef. The street-side seafood restaurant and second floor cocktail bar will be venues that are open to the public. The Apartment and The Rooftop are spaces reserved exclusively for guests and friends of guests. While our hotel falls under the Standard International umbrella, it will be positioned as a wholly distinct and separate concept from The Standard with a different market positioning, design aesthetic, and service culture. Purpose of the Role The Hotel Manager is responsible for overseeing all Rooms Division departments of the Hotel, including Front Office (Front Desk, Concierge, Bell and Door, Guest Services, and Guest Experience), Housekeeping, Engineering, and Guest Relations Departments. Leading and developing the management teams in the Room Division to ensure successful financial management, staff management, guest service and overall operations. Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of the Rooms Division, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational goals. Act as Acting General Manager in the General Manager's absence. Recruit, train, and develop department heads and staff, fostering a high-performance culture. Monitor guest feedback and mystery guest programs, implementing action plans for continuous improvement. Ensure staffing, scheduling, and operational costs align with budgetary goals. Oversee reporting, forecasting, and adherence to company policies and control systems. Conduct daily hotel walkthroughs to address cleanliness, maintenance, and guest experience. Maintain a safe and professional work environment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Engage regularly with guests and clients to enhance service quality and satisfaction. Serve as a visible and active leader within the Executive Team, supporting overall hotel strategy. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of rooms management experience, preferably in the luxury-boutique/lifestyle hotel sector, with expertise in high-volume and multi-department operations. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and inspire teams. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and training. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and integrity. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Knowledge of revenue management (STR, sell-out strategy), P&L discussions, and Rooms information systems is a plus. Strong communication skills, English/Spanish bilingual fluency is strongly preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds without assistance. Requires prolonged standing, sitting, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching. Must have visual acuity, hearing, and manual dexterity for essential job functions.
