CBNA (Civil & Building North America Inc.) is looking for a TBM Electrical Superintendent to join the Potomac River Tunnel Project in Washington, DC. About CBNA: At CBNA, we have been delivering large-scale projects such as the groundbreaking Port of Miami Tunnel and Pawtucket Tunnel CSO in Rhode Island. Our expertise extends throughout underground works, river and maritime works, linear projects, signature bridges, and industrial civil engineering. The Potomac River Tunnel project is a landmark initiative under the Clean Rivers Project. The project aims to construct a nearly 5.5 miles tunnel beneath the Potomac River with 2 different TBM, serving as a critical infrastructure element to control combined sewer overflows. This will significantly enhance the water quality of the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers and Rock Creek while bolstering the sewer system's capacity. Main Role and Responsibilities: Design electrical networks of the project, including coordination with the Professional Engineer and the electricity provider, in accordance with the Client requirements. Management of the fabrication and installation of all the electrical networks of the project (including in-house teams, subcontractors, providers). Subcontracting, purchasing, or fabricating in-house of all the electrical equipment of the project (substation, electrical cabinets). Technical consultation for investment and equipment rental. Adapt installations at Plant Manager or Production Manager request. Responsible for the electrical assembly, commissioning, dismantling of every equipment and particularly the Tunnel Boring Machines and its associated equipment. Check the equipment upon receipt (technical, delivery of operating and maintenance documentation, certificates of conformity). Organize and monitor maintenance work in accordance with the equipment maintenance schedules and regulations, by using the Computerized Maintenance Management System GMAO. Ensure that troubleshooting interventions are reported on the GMAO. Establishment of the electrical spare part list for all the equipment. Assist the Plant Manager to define the electrical budget and monitor it. Implement monitoring system for electrical consumption of the main equipment. Implement and maintain Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards as per the project requirements. Write the LOTO procedure and coordinate its application with the various departments on the project. Ensure method statements, job descriptions, procedures, and safety instructions are followed. Requirements: Licensed Electrician or Supervision of Electricians. Experience with TBM projects including medium/low voltage electrical distribution on heavy civil construction project. 10+ years of electrical supervision experience required on similar projects with TBM knowledge. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of electrical construction (electrical code, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, and safety required.
