Details Job Posting Name: Interactive Applications Development Co-op Position Type: Co-op Job Responsibilities Use 3D rendering engines such as Unity, Unreal, and Babylon.js to efficiently develop interactive, graphics-focused applications. Test, debug, and optimize software based on project and hardware performance requirements. Work with virtual reality hardware, software libraries, and development environments. Use version control software and follow relevant software development workflows and best practices. Participate in code reviews and contribute to a shared codebase. Meet regularly with the team to discuss progress, issues, and other feedback within the development process. Develop in programming languages such as C#, C++, JavaScript, and TypeScript to create applications targeting Windows, iOS, Android, and web browsers. Organize code using version control software such as Git, Github, and Bitbucket. Skills 3D mathematics such as trigonometry, linear algebra. A good understanding of how 3D scenes and geometry are represented. Basic exposure to graphical design apps such as Blender, GIMP, Photoshop, and Inkscape or Illustrator. Taking initiative to solve problems. A drive to learn new things. Attention to detail. It is not necessary to have all of the following skills up front, but the more you have the better. Additionally, these are the types of skills that will be developed during the co-op period. Education Requirements Students must be enrolled and in good standing with the University.
