Job Title: Benefits Coordinator Location: Washington DC ( Hybrid) Job Type: Direct Hire Industry: Law Firm Salary: $75k Hours: 40 hours per week Background Check: Required Job Description: The Benefits Coordinator will be the first point of contact for the Benefits Department and will need to have strong experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines. They will oversee the benefits inbox and correspond with employees on general benefit programs related inquiries. Key Responsibilities: Oversee Expatriate Health, Dental, Critical Illness, and Accident Insurance programs, including enrollment changes, monthly invoicing, and reconciliation. Review and approve submitted Workday Benefits enrollment tasks and assist with system updates and testing as needed. Manage COBRA administrative process, liaising with third-party administrators to ensure timely processing of enrollments and premiums. Communicate with attorneys and staff at all levels to educate them on benefits programs and resolve related issues. Work with insurance carriers to ensure delivery of electronic eligibility files and resolve discrepancies. Assist with policy renewals for benefits in international offices. Support wellness initiatives, including coordinating programming, wellness fairs, and the Annual Flu Shot program. Manage the benefits and wellness intranet, developing content to promote programs across the firm. Coordinate and deliver benefits onboarding for new hires and exit interviews for departing employees. Process vendor invoices and maintain records to aid in the annual budgeting process. Evaluate and recommend process improvements for operational efficiency. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: 2-4 years of benefits administration experience required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Workday HRMS (or similar HRIS software). Attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a proven time management track record. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Bachelor's degree preferred. Regular, punctual attendance required.
