This individual will play a pivotal role in managing Salesforce releases, ensuring smooth deployments, and optimizing our release management processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Salesforce environments, DevOps practices, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) principles. Key Responsibilities: Release Planning and Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and manage the entire Salesforce release cycle, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure that releases are delivered on time and meet quality standards.Develop and maintain release schedules, including release milestones, risk assessments, and post-release activities. Release Management with Copado: Utilize Copado to manage deployments, version control, and integration across Salesforce environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod).Collaborate with development teams to ensure that code deployments and integrations follow best practices using Copado.Monitor and manage release pipelines, ensuring smooth deployments and resolving any issues that arise during the deployment process. Automation and Process Improvement: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes, ensuring efficient and error-free releases.Continuously evaluate and optimize release management processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and minimize deployment risks.Oversee environment strategy, including sandbox management, refresh schedules, and ensuring all environments are properly configured.Coordinate and support data migration and transformation processes during release deployments. Collaboration and Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all release-related activities, ensuring effective communication between business, development, and operations teams.Provide regular status updates and release notes to stakeholders, highlighting any risks or challenges during the release cycle.Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, acting as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Work with QA teams to define and execute testing strategies for releases.Ensure adherence to release and change management policies, complying with regulatory requirements as necessary.Participate in post-release reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future release processes. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Salesforce Release Manager , Salesforce Administrator , or similar role within Salesforce environments. In-depth knowledge of Salesforce development practices, release processes, and environment management. Strong experience with Copado as a release management tool for Salesforce, including deployment automation, version control, and continuous integration. Experience in managing Copado release pipelines and integrating with Git repositories, CI/CD tools, and Salesforce DX. DevOps & CI/CD Knowledge: Solid understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automated testing.Experience with other tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and GitLab is a plus. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple release timelines and prioritize tasks effectively.Strong project management skills with experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar. Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, particularly with Salesforce deployment challenges. Certifications (Preferred): Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II (optional but beneficial). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Salesforce DX and modern development practices. Familiarity with tools like Git , Jenkins , Bitbucket , or CircleCI . Knowledge of release management best practices and change management frameworks like ITIL.
