XBOX looking for a Game Director to join a game development team. In this leadership role, you will work with key project stakeholders to deliver a blockbuster game experience. In this Game Director role, you are one of the creative leaders responsible for guiding the development of a video game from concept to launch. This role oversees various game design aspects, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and ensures that the game's design and gameplay align with the project's overall vision. In this role, you will champion the player experience, including driving vision and delivering an amazing experience for your area of focus in the game. You will partner across directors and your team, and leverage player feedback, to deliver on the promise and potential of the game experience. As one of the project's Game Directors, you partner with other Directors to understand the vision of the game, and in turn direct level, campaign, or mission experiences and / or will direct the tuning and balancing of highly complex features/systems. You will participate in game playtesting and provide feedback to others that helps to identify and solve existing and potential problems. You will direct game design specifications based on technical and production constraints, incorporating player feedback to deliver on the best possible experience within the defined production framework. You will review and create high-level required design documentation to support full production and act as an expert resource across multiple areas in the game design space. Where applicable, you will serve as product expert, representing the project vision and work-in-progress updates to key stakeholders, ensuring all parties are aligned on the path forward. You will build excitement internally and externally around our game vision, championing the vision and representing the game direction with pride. Core hours are based on Pacific Time but is fully remote. Position may require occasional domestic and international travel. Drive pipeline improvements as needed. + Set and monitor milestones, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meeting the highest expectation of quality. + Address creative and technical challenges throughout the development cycle. + Mentor and manage creative team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. + Facilitate cross-departmental communication and problem solving. + Embody ourCulture (& Values (**Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Art, Writing, Behavioral Science, Data Science, Game Design, or related field AND 6+ years experience in game development and design, systems design, content production, or related field + OR Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Art, Writing, Behavioral Science, Game Design, or related field AND 8+ years experience in game development and design, systems design, content production, or related field + OR equivalent experience. + Have shipped at least 2 title released to consumers/shipped game. + Experience managing full-cycle game development projects. **Preferred Qualifications:** + 12+ years of experience in game development with a proven track record in game design leadership. + Demonstrated in-depth understanding of game mechanics, user experience design, and interactive storytelling. + Portfolio showcasing successful game projects and creative achievements. + People management experience. + Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Proficiency in project management methodologies. + Experience with industry-standard game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) is a plus. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative work environment. Game Design IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $314,400 per year.
