Bart's Bagels is a bagel bake house, smoked fish joint, and neighborhood coffee shop that elevates the ordinary and raises the bar for Jewish comfort food in West Philadelphia. We are seeking an awesome, reliable, and hardworking individual to join our team as a Manager. The Manager is responsible for front-of-house service and shop operations. The Manager is always guest-, food-, and team-focused. As an enthusiastic team leader, you will lead by example, and hold yourself and all team members accountable for their performance and product output. Roles and Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the shop - from opening to closing, executing at the highest level Proactively solve problems ensuring the shop operates efficiently and at capacity Manage and lead team members to ensure our guests receive the best food and service Work with ownership and the Head Chef to create a positive and efficient work environment for the whole team Support Bart's Bagels high operational standards by holding yourself and your team members to the provided checklists, operational procedures, and other standardized tools Continued focus on all ServeSafe food safety standards and commitment to shop safety Weekly Inventory and Ordering Oversee execution of our catering program Manage online store and 3rd party Delivery Apps Schedule shifts and resolve staffing issues in the best interest of the shop Work 5 days a week, must be available to work weekends and holidays You'll be a great addition to our team if you: Have 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant management role Have a good understanding of PandL, COGS, decision making, process improvement, labor/scheduling, training and team development and food quality standards Have ServeSafe Manager's Food Safety Certification Can coordinate multiple tasks such as food and labor costs while maintaining required standards of operation in daily shop activities Are hospitality-oriented and have a passion for the guest experience Believe in a hands-on management style and lead by example Take initiative, be proactive and see the big picture Have a high-energy, positive can-do attitude that thrives in a fast-paced environment Treat others with kindness and respect Be a team player and willing to help others Work calmly and effectively under pressure; Communicate clearly and efficiently Can work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and holidays.
