We're looking for a dynamic, customer-focused Assistant General Manager to join our team at Republic Latin Fusion, a high-end Latin fusion restaurant and nightclub located in Williamsburg. Job Overview: As the Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the operations of both the restaurant and nightclub, ensuring that every aspect runs smoothly while delivering a world-class guest experience. Your leadership will be key in managing a top-tier team, elevating our service standards, and driving profitability in both our dining and nightlife operations. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant and nightclub, ensuring exceptional service standards for both dining and nightlife guests. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage a skilled team, fostering a positive, high-performance culture. Lead by example and ensure all team members are aligned with the company's vision and values. Customer Experience: Anticipate and address customer needs, ensuring that every guest receives an unforgettable experience, from dining to nightlife. Financial Management: Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability. Analyze sales and performance to identify growth opportunities. Event Coordination: Collaborate with the GM to plan and execute private events, live performances, themed nights, and special promotions, ensuring seamless operations and top-tier guest satisfaction. Quality Control: Ensure the highest standards of food, beverage, and service quality, working closely with kitchen and bar teams to deliver a premium experience. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations, including alcohol laws and labor requirements. Inventory and Supplies: Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining relationships with vendors to ensure consistent quality and cost control. Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events, specials, and exclusive offerings through both traditional and social media channels. Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in restaurant or nightclub management, preferably in a high-end or luxury venue. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team in a high-pressure environment. Experience in both restaurant and nightclub operations is preferred. Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex situations with professionalism. A deep understanding of Latin cuisine and culture, with a passion for fusion dining experiences. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong financial acumen and understanding of budget management, cost control, and PandL. Proficiency with POS systems, reservation platforms, and restaurant management software. A vibrant, charismatic personality with the ability to engage with both guests and staff. Compensation and Benefits Salary: For the first six (6) months of employment, the Employee will receive a salary of $65,000 - $75,000 before taxes. Bonus Structure: After completing one (1) year of employment, the Employee will be eligible for an annual bonus of 10%, provided that profits for the same period increase by 10%, and there is a healthy distribution of catering, delivery/takeout, and dine-in services. Recognition and Pay Increases: The Employee will receive recognition for each new venue opened beyond the first two venues. Pay raises for additional venues will be negotiated after four (4) venues have been reached. Benefits: The Employee will be entitled to two (2) weeks of paid time off (PTO) annually, available after completing six (6) months of employment. The Employee will also receive regular paid sick leave. Health Insurance: The Employee will be offered health insurance benefits after twelve (12) months of employment, with details provided at that time. Sweat Equity Opportunity: The Employee will have the opportunity to earn sweat equity, which provides the Employee with a share of profits from one of the businesses while employed by the Employer.
