Finance Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:The Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the overall financial functions of the assigned division of DRB Homes.This position may have limited day to day accounting responsibilities, but will primarily support forward looking financial projections, including budgeting, forecasting and feasibility analyses. This hands-on position will work directly with the Division Leaders and VP of Finance in supporting the financial and operational management needs of the division.Duties and ResponsibilitiesActively participate in all financial analysis for the operations, including profit projections and budget variance analysis.Participate in the preparation of the division budgetsAssist in the preparation of financial feasibility studies for both raw land and finished lot purchases.Assist in implementing and enforcing policies and procedures that will improve the overall operational efficiency and effectiveness of the division.Prepare supplementary reports and analysis for management.Coordinate monthly budget meetings with other departments.Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge and SkillsFinancial professional with appropriate industry experience, preferably in home buildingSound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focusStrong interpersonal skills, articulate, capable of communicating with a diverse range of individualsDetail oriented and organizedAble to work in team environmentStrong communication skills both written and oralMust be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with expertise in ExcelEducation and Work ExperienceMinimum of Bachelor's degree in accounting combined with 2-5 years' experience in either Accounting or Finance roles.Homebuilding, real estate or land development experience is preferred.
