Job Description - VP Revenue & Community I. About the Company OurThings is a companion, guide, and personal assistant that supports setting up and managing your home across each stage of life. We use AI to learn your habits and personal style in order to offer personalized recommendations of everything that goes into your home as well as the adjacent services that make your home function. The platform will allow you to plan and collaborate on future homes and projects, and then manage your collection. It also will offer guidance as you progress from one home to the next, share a home with a partner, build a family, enjoy retirement, and ultimately share your legacy with the next generation. After 12 months of market research and community building with 3,000+ brands, 700+ designers, and 1,000+ potential members, we launched a revenue generating product in January, 2025 to high income individuals & families. This initial version is an outline of the broader vision for which we are raising capital. As such, it is not user-specific, does not include our AI recommendation algorithm, is not yet fully integrated with the e-commerce of the brands we will feature, and showcases a small fraction of the furniture and home goods that will eventually be available. Still, it highlights the full suite of features and gives a sense of what we believe will be a highly impactful brand. We are currently raising capital to build Version 1 and expand the team. Please take a moment to explore this vision: (applicants will be provided with credentials for paid features). II. About the Position The VP of Revenue will expand an initial member community, engage brands that manufacture items on the platform, and deepen connections with designers and cultural influencers. This person will draw upon past sales, community building, and marketing experience to drive adoption by showcasing utility. Initial growth will be driven by adoption of the brands that make the things that are recommended, interior designers that help members design homes, members that buy these things and services, and the service providers that support our things, collections, and homes. Eventually, this role will be divided into VP Members, Services, Things, and Retail & Real Estate. As a result, the opportunity exists to evolve into the CRO. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who likes bringing products to market, building revenue streams, supporting ongoing investor buy-in across funding rounds, and appreciates the risks and rewards involved. III. About You Capabilities Have brought a digital product to market. Built and led a sales team either in the B2B or B2C context. Knowledge of and interest in furniture and home goods market. Relationships with legacy stakeholders in the furniture and home goods market. Comfortable representing the brand publicly and interacting with brands and high income individuals and families. Have worked closely with executive leadership in scaling an impactful organization and interest in taking ownership of the growth process over an extended period of time in order to build a valuable and lasting organization. Willingness and interest in traveling to meet both members and brands. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a design field, marketing & communications, business administration, or another relevant field. Experience 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in sales, marketing, revenue generation, growth strategy, startup community, or relevant organization. IV.
