They are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong Fortinet experience to join their dynamic team. This is a hybrid, full time role with excellent salary, bonus, and benefits. Immediate need! Candidates must be located in the Greater Houston area, have strong Fortinet experience, and be able to be hired directly with no sponsorship. What you will be doing: Developing customer-facing solutions in coordination with Sales and Sales Engineers. Ensuring all engineering parameters, needs, and client requirements are fulfilled on time. Assisting in the development of a data and voice (VoIP) strategy that will provide carrier-grade data and telephony services over satellite, LTE, Fiber, MetroE, VPLS, MPLS, or other WAN technologies. Collaborating with other Network Engineers around the globe in the design and deployment of new services and/or enhancements to existing voice services. Assisting in the development/refinement of the overall network security strategy and design. Designing, implementing, and supporting the security of OT networked systems based on customer needs. Working with Cyber Security teams to ensure the latest available practices are implemented. Working with third-party vendors, manufacturers, and partners as needed for project delivery, solutions development, or troubleshooting. Resolving complex technical issues with satellite and other WAN and LAN operations. Project managing technical issue resolutions that require cross-functional teamwork. Assisting with developing solutions on new satellite technologies including Starlink, O3b and OneWeb. What you bring to the table: Cisco certifications preferred: CCNA/CCNP or equivalent level of knowledge and experience. At least five years of hands-on network configuration and troubleshooting. A basic understanding of RF Technologies (Link budget analysis, antenna theory and design, BUC/LNB, LTE). Previous experience with VSAT systems(iDirect, Comtech, Newtec, Intellian, Seatel). A proven ability and experience in troubleshooting network and application protocols. Previous experience implementing and maintaining cybersecurity on OT networked systems. Proficiency on network platforms, including Cisco devices (routers, switches, ASAs, CMEs), Palo Alto, Fortinet, VoIP (SIP and CME based) and basic Linux understanding. Experience and hands-on knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IGRP, RIP) and switching (STP, ether channels). Experience with WAN technologies (MPLS, VPLS, Frame-Relay, SD-WAN).
