The Bureau of Network Technology and Telecommunication Services (NTTS) aims to provide DOHMH programs and staff, our external partners and providers, and all citizens relying on our systems and services with a highly reliable and available network infrastructure and services for both voice and data. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: Perform sensitive investigations concerning the administrative misconduct of Child Care field inspectors in compliance with IT security policies. Conduct IT security surveys of Child Care field operations, IT equipment, and facilities. Perform imaging and encryption of desktop computers, laptops, and tablets (iOS & Android). Perform computer diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve network, hardware, and software errors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute the setup and maintenance of audio-visual systems. Manage and prioritize incoming support requests, ensuring timely resolution of desktop-related issues. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A baccalaureate degree, from an accredited college including or supplemented by twenty-four (24) semester credits in cyber security, network security, computer science, computer programming, computer engineering, information technology, information science, information systems management, network administration, or a pertinent scientific, technical or related area; or A four-year high school diploma or its equivalent approved by a State's department of education and three years of satisfactory experience in any of the areas described above; or Education and/or experience equivalent to the above. PREFERRED SKILLS Excellent Customer Service experience. Excellent understanding of Help Desk environment. Minimum of 3 years of IT experience. Strong knowledge in Windows, Windows Server, and Microsoft Office. Strong knowledge of PC hardware set-up and configuration. Strong understanding of audio-visual systems. Willingness to travel to different company locations as required. RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT NEW YORK CITY RESIDENCY IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS TITLE.
