Operations Coordinator Reports to : Ownership FLSA Classification : Exempt About the Company: MandG is a boutique catering company based in the East Village. We are the industry leaders in our field and work with the top brands, media agencies and producers in NYC and are looking to expand into our next stage of business with the right management team. Job Summary: We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual who shares our creative vision and strong work ethic at MandG Foodstuff. As an Operations Coordinator, you will assist our Operations Manager in managing the daily operations at our business, ensuring an exceptional product and service for our clientele. Your focus will be on supporting the operations team, managing logistics, and maintaining a strong company culture. Core Tasks and Key Responsibilities Operations and Logistics: Support the Ops Manager with expediting product from the kitchen and managing packing vehicles. Deliver MandG products to clients professionally, adhering to the standards established by MandG. Help manage the delivery schedule, daily driver routes, and communicate changes. Ensure drivers are delivering and setting up products according to company standards. Correspond on behalf of driver team with clients if necessary, regarding changes and delivery issues. Assist in solving delivery-related issues and communicating updates to the team. Oversee and manage packing for daily drop-off catering and ensure driver packing lists are completed. Assist Ops Manager with packing for full-service events, including styling items, kitchen, and beverages. Support the ordering and management of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for events. Assist with delivery, load-in, and setup for full-service events as needed. Complete weekly ordering of disposables and beverages. Staff Management: Manage driver team in daily packing and production processes, making sure all tasks are completed. Assist Ops Manager in training for new operations employees and ongoing training and development for operations staff. Set the standards and always lead by example to create a team atmosphere which is lively and casual but always working efficiently and professionally. Vehicle and Maintenance: Assist Ops Manager in managing weekly cleaning of vehicles Help manage rental vehicle bookings and delivery tech systems. Assist Ops Manager in managing weekly cleaning of production items and ensure company hardware and rental equipment are kept in clean working condition and manage inventory. Report and support the fixing of maintenance issues regarding the MandG space. Hours: Full time - Start time can vary between 5am-7am depending on the day. Finish time can vary between 3-6pm depending on the day. Occasional weekend work will be expected and hours may vary slightly depending on the week. Other Qualifications Relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: 1-2 years of experience in operations or logistics, preferably in a hospitality or catering setting. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions. Strong knowledge of NYC burrows and areas Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Detail-oriented with strong time management skills. Computer literary and proficiency in gmail, word and excel. Willingness to go the extra mile when needed. Work Environment: Involves driving and being on your feet for most of the day. Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the kitchen, including food and beverage areas Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Must have current NY State Drivers License Must be able to drive and operate a catering van and box truck. Language English fluency and Spanish preferred
