Employees must work well as a team, maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Greets and acknowledges all guests while making them feel welcome. SMILE! When you smile while you talk the words sound better. Say key words like Welcome, Good Evening, Welcome to I|O Godfrey. Leave out/do not say "folks" or "guys (if there are also girls in the group)" Ability to multi-task in high volume and potentially stressful situations Ability to adhere to all company guidelines Knowledge of surrounding venues, events, etc. Walks the floor and provides all needed information to management regarding crowd control, disruptive patrons, etc. before engaging contact with guest. Ability to check ID's and properly spot a fake ID Ability to arrive to work promptly with a positive attitude Ability to attend all company meetings Accommodates a guests needs, ie wheel chair, elevators and ensuring guests arrive to their correct location designated on reservation sheet Must be knowledgeable about The Godfrey Hotel and I|O Godfrey. Recognizes repeat guests while smiling and making eye contact Ability to dissolve all potentially disruptive situations in a quick, polite and quiet manner. Must report all such situations to management. Communicates guests needs to staff, i.e. anniversaries, VIP, and/or birthdays. Communicates all guest complaints to management. Ability to communicate with all guests in order to resolve all conflicts. Ability to investigate incidents. Performs all duties in adherence to company standards. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
