Job Posting Title: Pediatrician Base Salary Range: $194,000 -$208,000 plus benefits FTE: Full Time - Exempt We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pediatrician who wants to make a difference in our community. General Summary: Under the direction of the CMO, this position provides comprehensive medical services for members of family, regardless of age or sex within scope of service/training. Services include: Preventative care, immunizations, primary care and treatment, health education, Prescribing of medications, ordering and interpreting lab testing, physical examinations, STD screenings, Vision/hearing, prenatal services, nutrition. Provider may be used in a variety of locations depending upon the need of the organization. Occasional evening and Saturday shifts. No hospital call or rounds. Available to travel to clinics upon short notice upon urgent situations to serve our patients. Incumbents work some evenings and Saturdays as scheduled. The ideal candidate will have to perform some of the following essential duties. • Reviews patient file/record, including allergies, problems, medications and immunization status. • Elicits and records information about patient's medical history. • Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition. • Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examinations and diagnoses condition of patient. • Determines and prescribes medication, dosage and schedule given the patient's condition and allergies. • Discusses and prescribes vaccinations to immunize patient from communicable diseases. • Promotes health by advising patients about diet, hygiene and methods for prevention of disease. • Provides prenatal care to pregnant women. Provides postnatal care to mothers and infants. • Performs surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency. • Refers patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patient's well-being. • Documents the patient's visit including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses and plan of action. • Follows up with patient regarding progress in high risk or emergency cases. • Conducts physical examinations to provide information needed for admission to school, consideration for jobs, or eligibility for insurance coverage. • Reviews and audits health charts of patients who receive Family Planning services. • Attends annual Family Planning seminars, if instructed by the CMO. Qualifications Licensure and Certifications: Job Posting • Medical Degree (MD) • Current California State Medical License • Current D.E.A. Certificate • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) • ACLS or Advanced Life Support • Pediatric Residency training Demonstrate knowledge of safety, infection control & emergency policies and procedures. Experience: • Must have minimum 2 years prior experience in community clinic setting as a pediatrician-preferred Skills and Abilities: • Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of modern medicine related to public health services and non-profit health services in underserve communities • Exercise balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions • Intermediate computer efficiency, experience with Patient Management Systems, and ability to work with the electronic health record • Ability to work with people of all social and ethnic backgrounds and communicate with the community to give the health center visibility and credibility • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, function in a rapidly changing environment, adjustment to fluctuating work volume and accomplish organizational goals • Knowledge of safety, infection control & emergency policies and procedures • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Top benefits or perks: As a team member at South Central Family Health Center, you'll enjoy competitive wages and generous benefits: • Benefits: Health care, dental, life insurance • 403 (b) Retirement plan • Education Reimbursement • Career development: Entry-level employees have opportunities to work in management, HR or other areas of the company.
