Senior Developer - Mulesoft, APIs, and Integrations Join to apply for the Senior Developer - Mulesoft, APIs, and Integrations role at Blue Star Partners Job Title: Senior Developer - Mulesoft, APIs, and IntegrationsLocation: Columbus, OHHybrid: In office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, remote on Monday, Thursday, and FridayDuration: 03/03/2025 - 09/01/2025 (Contract to Hire)Rate: $65 - $75/hourContract Type: W-2 only, no visa sponsorships or subcontractingScope Of Services: As a member of the Mulesoft platform team, you will analyze and design software programs and systems, create, modify, and test programs and systems. You will lead the design and implementation of API tooling and frameworks, enhance APIs and integrations at Utilities Client, mentor teams on best practices, and ensure reusability, scalability, and high performance.Role, Responsibilities & Deliverables: Design, program, build, deploy, and maintain software applications and systems such as databases, cloud, or operating systems. Analyze and modify existing software as well as design, construct, and test. Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Support, maintain, and document software functionality. Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation. Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed. Consult with end users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs. Recognized as subject matter expert and advanced individual contributor professional. Conduct highly complex work, unsupervised and with extensive latitude for independent judgment. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and knowledge sharing among team members. Education & Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, or Java. Technical experience with API design. Expertise and ability to design, build, and release MuleSoft solutions. Ability to implement industry standard programming techniques by mastering advanced fundamental software development concepts, practices, and procedures, and having the ability to analyze and solve problems in existing systems. Expertise with unit testing, integration testing and performance/stress testing. Database management skills and understanding of legacy and contemporary data modeling and system architecture. Track record of executing complex, multi-faceted and organizationally distributed projects. Strong communication skills. Enjoys and embraces leading and mentoring other engineers. Experience on teams leveraging Lean or Agile frameworks. Experience with optimizing or managing technology costs. Availability to work in person at the Columbus, Ohio location 2 days per week until September, then 3 days per week if the position is extended. Eligible for full-time employment at Utilities Client (green card or US Citizen).
