Engineering Manager - Banking Experience San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, Portland, OR, or Remote within Canada or United States Your job as an engineering manager at Mercury is to balance the need for structure with the goal of helping your team reach its full potential. In this role, you'll: Lead a team of ~4-8 engineers. Ensure your team can predictably deliver results against company objectives. Create a fulfilling work environment for your team. Coach the team to a high level of technical excellence and stability. Give feedback to engineers of all skill levels. Align engineering work with Mercury values. Work alongside other product experts to pick the highest-impact projects. Collaborate with other teams to achieve a cohesive product. Balance building new things with maintaining existing systems. Empower your team to contribute to making Mercury's product reliable, beautiful, and useful. You should: Have demonstrated the ability to lead a technical team. Have a strong individual engineering skill set. Be familiar with our tech stack (specifically, Haskell and TypeScript), or have an interest in learning it. The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits. Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry.
