Boka Restaurant Group and the Chicago Athletic Association are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Back of House Leadership team members to join their team! The Back of House Leadership position requires strong communication skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and the ability to lead and develop kitchen teams. The ideal candidate for this position will have at least three years of previous leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen setting. Candidates should be adept at overseeing all kitchen stations, including sauté, grill, deep fry, and garde manger. This leadership role will involve managing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety, and mentoring staff to achieve excellence in execution and service. View our restaurants here: Back of House Leadership Responsibilities: Oversee kitchen operations and manage Back of House staff. Maintain cleanliness and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Lead and mentor kitchen team members to enhance skill development and efficiency. Ensure safe food handling procedures are followed at all times. Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to maintain food quality and consistency. Assist with menu development and execution. Monitor inventory levels, food costs, and waste management. Uphold company policies, including uniform and grooming standards. Foster a positive and professional work environment. Qualifications: Hardworking and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic. 2-3 years of leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen. Food handlers' certification. Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays. Ability to multitask and stay focused under pressure. This is an ideal position for someone who is dedicated to leading a team, upholding culinary excellence, and contributing to a hard-working and fun team culture! Physical Requirements: Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals. Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the kitchen, which may include stairs, uneven, and/or slick surfaces.
