We're hiring a line cook at Lord's, our modern English restaurant in the Greenwich Village. Focused around English cooking techniques and a farmers market approach to seasonality, Lord's is a casual, 60-seat restaurant. We're a very small team, and as such are only hiring line cooks with experience. You'll work closely with our chef de cuisine, sous chef's, and chef/owner to execute a dinner service to a high standard 5 nights a week. We do a lot of things in house, and change the menu frequently, so we want cooks who are ambitious, calm under pressure, eager to grow -- but have some foundational knowledge already. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, enjoys the details of cooking, and can keep up with a busy service. We'll teach you the rest. We're a rather busy restaurant, and have been named Food and Wine's Best New Chef, Eater's Restaurant of the Year, as well as being nominated for a James Beard Award for Best Chef: New York State. We're looking to improve our refinement and push on to make Lord's one of the top places to eat in NYC. We're also in the expansion phase as a young company, and t here will be lots of room for growth. Lord's is open for dinner Monday to Saturday. It's not fancy, but it is nice.
