Kforce has a client in Grapevine, TX that is seeking a Network Engineer - Wireless. This role will require a deep understanding of networking systems, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain Cisco-based network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on wireless networking (Wi-Fi 6/6E, Access Points, Controllers, etc.) Manage and troubleshoot SD-WAN solutions for both access and distribution layers Monitor and optimize network performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues Configure and maintain routing and switching protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, etc.) for enterprise-level networks Provide advanced support for network infrastructure, resolving complex issues in a timely and efficient manner Work with internal stakeholders and non-technical teams to communicate network issues, project timelines, and technical recommendations clearly Collaborate with other network engineers and IT teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security Assist in capacity planning and network optimization to meet organizational growth and performance goals Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and best practice guides Provide mentoring and guidance to junior network engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices Manage and support wireless network security, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards and policies Requirements: Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CCNA Wireless) preferred, or equivalent relevant certifications/experience 8-10 years of hands-on experience in network engineering with a strong emphasis on wireless technologies Extensive experience working with Cisco networking hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices (APs, Controllers) Extensive experience in managing and optimizing Cisco network environments, with a focus on wireless networking, SD-WAN, and routing/switching Experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment is highly preferred Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting SD-WAN technologies and protocols Solid understanding of routing and switching principles (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, VLANs) In-depth knowledge of wireless networking, including Wi-Fi design, troubleshooting, and security best practices Proven experience in a NOC or similar high-pressure environment, providing rapid response and troubleshooting to maintain network uptime Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex networking issues Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Meraki Dashboard, etc.) Strong understanding of network security principles and practices Preferred: Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting) for network management and configuration Knowledge of cloud networking and integrations, especially with SD-WAN providers Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on detail and quality Familiarity with project management practices and the ability to manage timelines and deliverables #J-18808-Ljbffr
