Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and support network infrastructure solutions for our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, Cisco network technologies, including access points, routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and SD-WAN. You will play a key role in ensuring our network infrastructure's stability, security, and performance, working closely with internal teams and vendors to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business needs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design and deploy Cisco-based network infrastructure, including access points, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions. Design, plan, and oversee network upgrades, hardware/software implementations, and relevant testing. Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions). Configure and deploy SD-WAN solutions and ensure seamless integration with existing network architectures. Experience with Cisco VPN, ASA Firewalls, and Cisco Meraki is highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of network security protocols and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS). Monitor network performance, availability, and security using tools like Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, or similar network monitoring platforms. Troubleshoot network issues, identify root causes and apply corrective measures. Solid understanding of IP routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and multicast. Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Wireshark). Strong documentation skills, with the ability to create network diagrams and configuration documents. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Directly manage multiple projects, from simple to highly complex, ensuring governance and control are upheld. Contribute to IT projects aimed at improving service delivery and enhancing capabilities. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft O365 for effective MSP collaboration. Ensure adherence to Information Security Technology controls and processes, particularly in cloud environments. Assist with Change Management tasks, including validation and monitoring progress. Log all incidents and service requests into the ticketing system, ensuring thorough documentation. Escalate unresolved or complex issues to appropriate IT teams or vendors for resolution. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Influence IT policy and strategy, working with senior management to evolve the operating model and align IT services with long-term business objectives. Establish and monitor benchmarks, quality measures, and participate in disaster recovery and contingency planning to ensure a 99.95% availability rate for IT operations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. We're excited if this is you Experience and Qualifications of the Role Over eight years of technology experience with 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points) and SD-WAN technologies Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco IOS, Nexus, and SD-WAN technologies. Extensive experience with Cisco VPN, ASA Firewalls, and Cisco Meraki. 4+ years of experience with Microsoft O365, Intune, Microsoft Defender, Azure AD, Windows Client, Group Policy, ServiceNow, ServiceDesk, Freshworks, and Active Directory Administration. 2+ years of proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Defender, O365, and related technologies. In-depth understanding of network protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, multicast) and network security best practices. Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure), including patching, backup, and management. Proven track record of managing complex network projects and teams, both onshore and offshore. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and senior management. Ability to manage vendor contracts, SLAs, and support agreements (MSAs, SOWs). Willingness to work outside of standard business hours for incident response, maintenance, or project deadlines when necessary. Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job Deep expertise in network design, implementation, and management of network infrastructure projects, including Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, AWS IAM, IPSEC Tunnel, Cisco routers, switches, SD-WAN, VPN solutions, and Cisco Meraki. This role will involve overseeing network performance, security, and optimizing network services to meet business needs. Education Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent work experience required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations ITIL Certification Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Additional certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or AWS/Azure certifications are a plus. The base pay range for this position is $117,500 - $162,500 USD Annual. The specific pay offered will depend on qualifications, experience, education, and skill set.
