About the organization: Located in Saratoga, this organization is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing injured and orphaned wildlife. Operated by a nonprofit committed to animal welfare, it provides expert care, specialized enclosures, and conservation education to support local ecosystems and foster human-wildlife coexistence. Summary: Responsible for all management information systems and security related concerns within the organization. Under general guidance from division leader, provides strategic input to senior management. Actively manages the IT team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Computers: Leads PC maintenance and upgrades Manages asset inventory Advises on software/hardware purchases Oversees network design, installation, and maintenance Provides strategic guidance on data management Phones: Evaluates service agreements and recommends improvements Coordinates vendor services Provides training and troubleshooting for staff Security: Oversees security and surveillance systems Manages vendor coordination and incident investigations Monitors policy compliance and provides reports to management Ensures PCI compliance and penetration testing Trains staff on security protocols Other Duties: Supervises IT team and provides performance feedback Participates in senior management meetings for technology planning Develops and manages the technology budget Oversees disaster recovery and data backup systems Assesses cybersecurity risks and implements protections Evaluates and schedules system upgrades Supports technology buildout for new facilities Performs other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages IT team, including training, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and addressing concerns per company policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience; minimum 5 years of experience in IT, including computers, phones, server management, and security systems. Proficiency in MS Office, VMware, and Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, with knowledge of VMware ESXi virtualization. Familiarity with firewall configuration; experience with WatchGuard. Broad understanding of electronic systems, their operation, and applications. Must pass a background check upon hire. Valid CA Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record for insurance coverage. Strong ability to manage multiple projects independently. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex, non-standardized situations. Exceptional customer service skills for working with employees at all levels and vendors. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to users of varying expertise. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, technical documents, and procedural manuals. Competency in basic math operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Knowledge of RingCentral or other cloud-based phone systems. Keeps up with evolving technology relevant to organizational operations. Interest in the nonprofit sector and a passion for animal welfare is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
