Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at [Hospital/Medical Facility Name]. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures that involve the use of radioactive materials to assess and monitor patients' conditions. Radiation Safety and Quality Control: Follow strict radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self. Ensure proper disposal of radioactive materials and follow safety procedures for handling, storing, and transporting radiopharmaceuticals. Calibrate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, performing regular quality control tests to ensure equipment operates within safety standards. Documentation and Reporting: Record all relevant patient information, imaging details, radiopharmaceuticals administered, and results in the patient's medical record. Provide detailed reports on imaging findings and observations to the physician or nuclear medicine specialist for diagnosis and treatment planning. Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate imaging procedure for each patient. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and ensure optimal patient care. Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology, radiopharmaceuticals, and imaging techniques.
