Job DescriptionHigherStrats is assisting an local client to find Landscape Production SupervisorsSummary: Responsible for supervising employees, equipment and customer experience by performing the following duties.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others may be assigned.Supervisor Responsibilities:The Divisional Supervisor works under the direction of the Divisional Manager to help oversee and coordinate work flow. This role involves managing daily operations, overseeing teams, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget, and maintaining high-quality standards, maintaining customer expectations and relations.Key Responsibilities:1. Operational Management:a. Daily meetings with manager and admin to ensure work flowb. Oversee daily production, equipment and quality for the division, ensuring smooth workflow, operational efficiency, and adherence to company policies and standards.c. Monitor service delivery to ensure it meets quality and customer expectations.d. Implement processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency.e. Direct oversight of daily routine of divisional employeesi. Morning Routineii. Daily Huddleiii. SA Usageiv. Communicationv. Trucking schedule, load lists and crew truck loadingvi. Customer communicationvii. Evening Routingf. Attend weekly divisional meetingsg. Hold weekly Safety Meetings - maintains the safety of all direct reportsh. Ensures company, DOT and OSHA compliance of all safety rules and regulationsi. New employee onboarding, training and developmentj. Equipment and tool conditioni. Ensure regular maintenance is performed, working with shop admin for schedulingii. Consult with shop supervisor and admin when repairs are neededk. Yard conditionl. Bay Conditionm. Assist in overseeing jobsite from start to finish.b. Ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget and meet customer expectations.c. Collaborate with management to develop detailed project plans and timelines.3. Team Supervision:a. Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and laborers working on jobs/projects.b. Ensure teams are properly trained, motivated, and equipped with the tools needed to complete tasks efficiently and safely.c. Monitor daily work progress and ensure tasks are performed to the highest quality standards.d. Ensure quality use of SA4. Quality Control:a. Ensure all work meets company standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.b. Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and safety compliance.c. Address any deficiencies or issues that arise during production.5. Client Relations:a. Serve as a point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries, providing progress updates, and ensuring their needs are met.b. Address any client concerns or issues promptly to maintain a positive working relationship.c. Assist with project proposals and the preparation of cost estimates.6. Materials and Equipment Management:a. Assist in the inventory of materials needed for jobs/projects, ensuring materials are available when required.b. Manage the proper use, storage, and maintenance of equipment and machinery on-site.c. Help optimize the usage of resources to minimize waste and ensure cost- efficiency.7. Health and Safety Compliance:a. Enforce safety protocols and guidelines on job sites to prevent accidents and injuries.b. Ensure that employees are properly trained in safety procedures and that they are following proper safety practices at all times. Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA and company rules and regulations.c. Monitor and enforce compliance with environmental regulations8. Budget and Financial Oversight:a. Assist in managing job/project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost control.b. Help identify and resolve any financial issues that arise during the project.c. Support management in maintaining project profitability while ensuring quality.9. Reporting and Documentation:a. Ensure proper use of SA daily reports on project progress, daily activities, and resource allocation.b. Maintain accurate records of labor hours, materials used, and equipment maintenance.c. Ensure daily updates are provided to management and admin on project status.10. Problem Solving:a. Address issues related to delays, resource shortages, and other obstacles that may arise during construction.b. Provide solutions to ensure work continues efficiently and in line with project timelines.Required Skills:• Leadership & Team Management: Ability to manage teams effectively and maintain a positive work environment.• Project Management: Strong skills in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects.• Knowledge of Landscape Industry: Understanding of landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment.• Budgeting & Cost Control: Experience with managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost efficiency.• Customer Service: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and maintain good relationships.• Problem-Solving: Quick thinking to resolve issues that could affect timelines or quality.• Attention to Detail: Ensuring all aspects of the project are executed accurately and up to standard.• Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with job site safety protocols and environmental regulations.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of email software, internet software, project management software, and database software.Education/Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and previous management experience.Certificates and Licenses:Valid, Clean NYS Driver's License Preferred - NYS Class A CDL OSHA
