OCTO is looking for a resource to test the Department of Motor Vehicles enterprise application. The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) Application Software Quality Assurance program in conjunction with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) application will empower citizens of DC to promote the safe operation of motor vehicles and public safety while providing outstanding customer service. This application will require development and implementation of a DMV application to build a comprehensive digital government experience that empowers residents, businesses, and visitors to navigate the process of driver's license and support each step along the way. The QA Tester will test the DC Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) application to meet the project objectives and support new or expanding business objectives. This will include requirements review/analysis, creating test cases, test case execution, and creating defects for the new or updated software applications. Candidate must have technical proficiency for testing Software Applications along with proficiency in MicroFocus Test Tools ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) and Jira. Candidates should be able to participate in the entire development lifecycle from design through deployment. Ability to perform requirements review, write test cases, execute test cases, and create defects is essential. Be able to communicate with the Project Team for defects/issues identified during testing. The QA Tester will work in an Agile Team environment to perform software application testing to verify and validate that the application requirements are covered, and to improve our internal and client-facing environment. The QA Tester will be working in a supportive and fast-paced team with the development team and opportunities to increase your professional knowledge. The Candidate will be responsible for the following: Performing Software Application Testing of customized solutions within the software platform to support critical business functions and meet the project objectives, client user requirements, and company goals. Communication with project management, clients, and other developers to ensure effective collaboration throughout the testing phase. Maintaining a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully. Direct interaction with clients, managers, and end users as necessary to analyze project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces, customized applications, and interactions with internal and external instances. Collaboration with various internal departments, including development and operations, to ensure the new DMV application supports internal needs relating to functionality and performance. Minimum Requirements: Adapts functional business requirements and processes to technical solutions based upon comprehensive enterprise application solution sets. Understands enterprise resource planning and management processes, including but not limited to: knowledge management, investment analysis, data warehousing, e-commerce, return on investment analysis, human resource analysis, material management and logistics, supply chain management, procurement, ordering, manufacturing, decision support, and information dissemination.
