Job Description Overview ADI's Automotive Sales team is actively recruiting for a Senior Field Applications Engineer to support our Automotive customers in the greater Detroit area. The mission of this role - as a trusted technical advisor on ADI's game changing Automotive solutions portfolio - is to identify and understand customer needs and opportunities, propose ADI system solutions, and provide best-in-class design-in support to Automotive customers. You will drive innovation in Automotive by providing differentiated and winning solutions. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Develop and maintain technical relationships with customers Provide differentiated solutions that provide optimal value to customers and design win success to ADI Take part in defining and executing the support strategy throughout development phases, from initial concept to production (jointly with Sales and other internal teams) Schematic design, board layout, device and system simulation, design characterization and verification testing in lab Participate in defining customers' system architectures with block diagrams Conduct workshops and technical trainings for customers Collect, formalize, and exchange relevant information and trends received from the markets and customers with ADI's Automotive Business Units Collaborate with the Business Units to propose and validate new products and solutions You can expect: An attractive, performance-oriented compensation & benefits package A team and customer-oriented work culture A great opportunity for your personal development and professional growth All candidates should possess the following basic skills and qualifications: BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering Sales experience and spirit with solid interpersonal communication abilities Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals Understanding of circuit simulation and electrical design tools and techniques Familiarity with lab equipment for electrical design verification and characterization Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines Can work both independently and with a cross-functional team Languages: English (Fluent) Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: Experience as an Automotive Field Application Engineer or Automotive System Design Engineer Knowledge of automotive infotainment, ADAS, lighting and EV battery systems with emphasis on power conversion and ASIL requirements Problem solving skills Technical presentation skills For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
