We are seeking either a three-day (3 days is FT) or 4 days weekly Associate Veterinarian who can perform dentals and surgery!Since 1989, The Gentle Doctor has been an integral part of the community, providing top-notch veterinary care with a strong emphasis on preventative medicine. Our clinic is fully equipped with state-of-the-art tools and resources, ensuring you can deliver the best care and service to our beloved pets and clientele.Job SummaryThe Associate DVM ensures high quality of veterinary care, client service, employee well-being, and productivity of the veterinary medical team. The Principal Doctor and Practice Manager will lead the Associate DVM to ensure the well-being of the hospital environment, medical quality, and business performance of the hospital.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent, high-quality care and safe service to maintain a positive hospital environment.Adhere to all WellHaven protocols and practices.Collaborate with the Principal Doctor to establish development plans that align with hospital objectives.Practice veterinary medicine in compliance with the State Veterinary Practice Act, Federal and/or State Controlled Substance laws, and maintain appropriate medical record documentation.Maintain thorough and accurate medical charting for all patients.Provide comprehensive client communication.Participate in community events and hospital projects.Demonstrate proficiency in anesthesia, surgery, and current medical practices.Advocate for exceptional client service and patient well-being.Provide medical training to support staff.Required Skills and KnowledgeUphold integrity and ethics in all actions and behaviors.Stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.Drive for results by demonstrating motivation and determination.Work well in an extremely fast-paced work environment.Learn new computer software systems.Education and ExperienceDoctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.State Veterinary Board License.Must be in good standing with the state(s) employed to work for WellHaven.Work Location, Environment, and Physical RequirementsThe Associate Doctor position is performed onsite at our hospital.Good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds.May routinely be exposed to pets that may bite or scratch, biological hazards, and anesthesia medications.WellHaven BenefitsWellHaven offers competitive pay and an excellent benefits package.Commitment to DiversityWellHaven is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to complying with all applicable federal, state, and/or local laws prohibiting discrimination.#J-18808-Ljbffr
