Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience "” talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$234,200.00/yr - $308,400.00/yrPosition SummaryResponsible for planning and administration of academic and research activities, educational programs, clinical practice, financial operations, academic and research activities, clinical research billing compliance, and facilities for the Department.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and oversee annual business plans, new programs and initiatives. Work with the Chair to formulate short- and long-term fiscal, fundraising, and operational goals. Monitor outcomes and revise plans as necessary.Recommend expansion/development of business opportunities. Directly negotiate terms, including responsibilities, authorities, financial with involved parties.Manage the department's financial affairs: review expenditures and income. Develop annual capital and operating budget. Establish improved financial systems and records. Prepare cost analyses and make financial recommendations.Member of Sr Leadership Team advising the chair and chiefs on operational, financial, and strategic issues. Develop uniform standards of operations, staffing, policies, and procedures. Represent department on various internal and external committees.Ensure appropriate WCM funds allocation and use. Oversee team supporting pre and post award grant management for all faculty and research programs within the Department.Manage all facilities and related issues. Compile annual space survey. Secure department-wide equipment inventory monitoring/reporting system. Direct purchase, installation and implementation computers and computerized systems.Oversee administrative support infrastructure for Department and Divisions. Ensure high quality efficient and effective administrative support is provided to department faculty and programs.Work closely with chair to oversee faculty recruitment and appointments and promotions process. Assist in faculty recruitment activities, faculty review processes, mentorship activities, and all faculty affairs related issues.Oversee clinical initiatives including clinical informatics, data analytics, population health, quality improvement, safety and outcome measurement. This includes an ACGME-accredited Residency in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine program.Oversee education programs with more than 250 students including three unique programs: MS program, MS/EMBA program, PhD program, as well as multiple new initiatives each year.
