IPG Photonics Corporation is seeking a Laser Engineer in Marlborough, MA w/ the following rqmnts: Master's deg in Electrical Engg, Optics, Lasers or rel field or foreign equivalent deg. 2 yrs of rel exp.  Reqd Skills: Assemble optical/laser hardware & verify the performance of optical components, eqpmnt, systems, & setups to ensure optimal functionality & reliability using Thorlabs Powermeter 405-1650nm, Extinction Ratio Meter, Optical binocular microscope, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, Ando Optical Spectral Analyzer 350nm-1750nm; Conduct measurement & characterization tests utilizing advanced data acquisition software such as ThorLabs apps, Python, Matlab & optical hardware including Motorized Translation Stages, Apertures, rotators; Operate & maintain optical, test & analytical instruments: Optical binocular microscope, SEM, Bruker FT-IR Spectrometer, Cryogen Cooled Powermeter HgCdTe, 10 K Janis Cryocooler, Hydrogen & Nitrogen Optical Cryostats; Dvlp, operate & align vacuum setups using High Vacuum Turbomolecular Pump, Dry Diaphragm Vacuum Pump, Helium Gas Leak Detector; Analyze information to determine, recommend, & plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system using data processing software including Origin, Python, MS Office. Please apply online at ?c=2179707&d=Ext ernalCareerSite#/ & click on the Careers link at the top.
