Role Overview As an Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) Solutions Architect, you will use your industry and OTM product and integration experience to manage the implementation lifecycle of HEM's global Oracle Fusion/OTM cloud migration. You will lead the functional project team by teaching and implementing leading practices in gathering business-specific requirements, master data definitions, solutions design, product setups, and integration design. You will be responsible for reviewing the deliverables and providing quality assurance for the project. You will train and coach functional end users on leading practices in all stages of the implementation lifecycle. In this role, you will be the go-to person for OTM product knowledge and support the regional logistics functions globally by providing expert functional and post-project support. You will provide ongoing global support, address any post-implementation issues, and monitor the system's performance to ensure OTM is utilized effectively. This may include providing training, troubleshooting technical problems, and facilitating user adoption and compliance. Dimensions of the Role An Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) solutions architect designs, implements, and optimizes global use of Oracle's OTM solution. This person collaborates with cross-functional teams to create and deliver solutions that meet business goals and improve operational efficiency. The solutions architect also ensures that the OTM application meets requirements for global scalability, flexibility, and performance. Principal Accountabilities Project Leadership/Support: Serve as the primary source for leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project stakeholders and end users throughout implementation, setting clear goals and expectations for performance at each milestone through the lifecycle of the project, while keeping or course-correcting alignment with business objectives and requirements. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the broader team. Communication & Collaboration: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment of expectations and timely resolution of issues. Foster collaboration and teamwork among business teams, technical teams, and other stakeholders. Facilitate cross-functional discussions and workshops to ensure a holistic understanding of requirements and effective solution design. Requirements Gathering: Work closely with the businesses to gather and analyze requirements for applications implementation or enhancement projects. Guide the team in conducting thorough requirement analysis, ensuring that all relevant business processes and pain points are identified and addressed. Solution Design: Lead the design of comprehensive solutions while leveraging the expertise of the team to ensure alignment with business needs and industry best practices. Review and approve solution designs proposed by team members, providing feedback and guidance as needed. Architecture Development: Lead the functional solution architecture process, ensuring that solutions proposed by the team meet requirements and align with best practices. Develop scalable and sustainable architecture designs that adhere to industry best practices. System Integration: Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement integrations between Oracle Fusion applications and other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability. System Configuration: Configure Oracle Fusion applications to meet requirements utilizing built-in features. Performance Optimization: Collaborate with technical teams to optimize the performance and scalability of applications through tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Quality Assurance: Partner with others to conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure that solutions meet functional and technical specifications, performance requirements, and security standards. Documentation: Prepare functional and technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user guides. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest features and updates in Oracle OTM applications. Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the implemented solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor providing guidance on Oracle OTM best practices, industry trends, and technology advancements. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field. Proven experience (10+ years) as a functional or technical Solution Architect, with a focus on Oracle Fusion applications. Previous experience in roles such as business analyst, functional consultant, or similar positions within Oracle OTM projects. Experience leading or participating in full-cycle Oracle OTM implementation projects, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support. Oracle Cloud certifications such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect, Oracle Cloud Platform Functional Consultant, etc. is a plus. Oracle OTM Applications certifications such as Certified Transportation Management & Global Trade Management Implementer, OTM Cloud Core Competence, MySQL, Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Management (SCM). Working knowledge of MS Office suite. Excellent verbal and written communications skills to communicate ideas, instructions, and information so they are clearly understood by others in formal or informal situations. Highly effective people skills in handling conflict management and the ability to build and maintain internal and external customer relationships based on trust and value. Demonstrated ability to work independently, to work effectively across functional lines without formal authority, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to make consequential decisions. Working knowledge of various shipment types (rail, van, intermodal, bulk). Ability to travel 50%, including Domestic & International.
