For more information, please visit riverspringliving.org.THE OPPORTUNITY: The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is a leadership role and is expected to be a contributing member of the executive team. The ideal candidate for this role will be an entrepreneurial, innovative change agent, with a track record of credibility and success in building and leading best practice applications of comprehensive human resources programs, ideally in a large, complex not for profit healthcare or human services setting. He/she/they will be actively involved in the business of the organization and have a voice at the table where strategic business decisions are made. The CHRO will be a strategic partner to the CEO and COO, and a key resource throughout every facet of the organization, which comprises multiple departments, specialty areas and entities.The individual in this role will lead and oversee a team that is responsible for the entire range of human resources functions. The CHRO will be expected to assess and build upon the current departmental structure to ensure that human resources programs and practices are in sync with the strategic direction of the organization and current best practices and trends in the field.He/she/they will work collaboratively with leadership to promote best practices, and an alignment with institutional goals and objectives including diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to ensure that RiverSpring Living is well-positioned to attract and retain the very best talent.The CHRO reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to the CHRO is a team that currently includes the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, Director of Benefits, Director of Talent Acquisition, Benefits Manager, Talent Acquisition Managers (2), Human Resources Operations Manager, Onboarding Specialist, and Office Manager.IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:Genuine interest in the RiverSpring Living mission.15+ years of progressive human resources leadership experience, ideally in large, complex not-for-profit settings, including but not limited to continuum of care/eldercare specialty providers, other health and human service settings and/or major not-for-profit organizations.Substantial experience in a union environment, preferably 1199SEIU.Track record of successful experience in the full range of human resources disciplines and best practices.Able to advise on all facets of human resources/workforce/people and culture matters including strategic talent acquisition and retention, employee and labor union relations, performance management, organizational structure, talent pipeline development, compensation and benefits, and effective onboarding and professional leadership and development.History of helping to facilitate change within a large, multifaceted, and creative organization.Ability to drive consensus and make critical decisions.An effective communicator committed to transparency.Well-developed listening and interpersonal skills.The ability to develop creative, responsive strategies and solutions for staff at all levels.Strong service orientation and a collaborative spirit.Proficiency in commonly used HR and business software; data driven.A warm, open, accessible style.Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.Ability and willingness to attend RiverSpring Living events and activities after regular business hours, as needed.Willingness to serve as an ambassador for RiverSpring Living and position the organization as a great environment in which to work.PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP required.A master's degree in human resources or related field.The annual compensation range for this position is $250,000-$300,000 plus attractive benefits.Howe-Lewis International is pleased to assist RiverSpring Living with this important search.
