Team One Chevrolet Buick GMC Truck is looking for an Automotive DetailTechnician Fun Team atmosphere with great pay What We Offer Competitive pay Medical Dental & Vision insurance as well as short term & long term disability life insurance & more 401K plan with employer match Paid time off including vacations sick & holidays Job stabilitybusy shop with plenty of work Employee discounts on vehicles parts and service Family owned and operated Centrally located Paid training Uniforms provided at no cost cleaning and many other employee perks such as company sponsored family outings baseball games and more SUMMARY Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles Conforms to dealership andor manufacturer specifications and time allowances ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following Other duties may be assigned Washes vehicle exterior cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down doorjambs Applies wax to auto body and wipes or buffs surface Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris Cleans upholstery rugs and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents applicators and cleaning devices Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturers recommendations Uses proper eye hand and body protection when using products that require protection Applies dressing on tires and tire wells Keeps work area neat and clean Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner Reports any safety issues immediately to management MARGINAL DUTIES include the following Other duties may be assigned Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects such as dents scratches torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation Restores appearance of engine area rugs and upholstery and painted surfaces Uses touch up paint dyes and other appropriate materials Fills vehicle with fuel Replaces missing or defective small parts SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill andor ability required Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions EDUCATION andor EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree GED; or one to three months related experience andor training; or equivalent combination of education and experience LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement volume and distance REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS Valid Drivers License PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk or hear The employee must regularly lift andor move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift andor move more than 100 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to wet andor humid conditions moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud
