ControllerAbout the Company & Opportunity- Controller:CFS of New York is working with a prominent non-profit organization seeking a Controller to join their growing teamThe organization has been around for close to 20 years, has a little over $7M in funding and offer after school/summer programs for children who come from a challenging home environmentThe organization also helps children who suffer from mental/emotional abuseThey receive funding from various revenue streams including : government grants, private donations, foundations, endowments, etcOur client is open to a candidate who is looking to step into a more strategic roleBenefits of working as the Controller:Competitive compensation packages and encourage learning and growth developmentThis role is hybrid and can sit in either of their locations in Brooklyn or the BronxThis position will be reporting to the Executive Director and will manage a staff of threeRole Responsibilities - Controller:Overseeing accounting department, ensuring all timelines are met and providing guidance and support as neededEnsure timely and complete reconciliations, provide suggestions for improvement in this areaManage audit processManage grants and funding sources, prepare financial reports as neededAssistant in strategic financial planningAccount for and allocate funding from multiple sourcesPreferred Experience - Controller:5+ years of experience working in the nonprofit industryBachelors degreeManagerial experience is a plus
