Role: Host Responsible for: Greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of guests into the dining area. Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere from first Interaction through final departure. Reports to: Maí®tre D' / Operations Managers General Scope: The Host will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Operating in a dynamic, fast-paced fine dining environment, the Host will manage reservations, greet, and seat guests, and coordinate with the service team to ensure efficient operations. The Host will utilize reservation platforms such as Resy to manage reservations and guest information efficiently. This role requires excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills to handle high volume and deliver a seamless dining experience. The Host must be able to work under pressure while maintaining a warm and welcoming demeanor. Primary Responsibilities: Assign reservations and update floor plans for service. Greet incoming and departing guests warmly; escort them to assigned dining area. Alert staff of VIP guests. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service. Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate direction or responses. Monitor voicemail, and reservation systems, inclusive of making and checking reservations - online and over the phone. Help with the setup, breakdown and cleanup of the host area and floor before and after service. Maintain host stands, stock with supplies. Clean and sanitize host stands and host stand supplies. Handle guest inquiries and complaints courteously and efficiently. Maintain knowledge of the menu and restaurant services to assist guests effectively. Additional Responsibilities: Monitor Manuela's front desk emails. Maintain paper menu supplies. Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required. Always adhere to health and safety guidelines. Handle guest inquiries and requests courteously and efficiently. Effectively communicate guest issues or operational concerns. Follow and execute all side work lists provided by the company. Assist team members as needed. Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required. License Requirements: Valid food handler certification preferred TIPS Certification preferred Requirements: Have the ability to work fast and efficiently under pressure Have the ability to multi-task and handle high-volume Professional presentation through appropriate grooming and attire Microsoft Office Suite familiarity Resy familiarity Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Must be able to lift 30 lbs Must be able to perform repetitive bending, stopping, twisting, and lifting of products and supplies
