To prepare food and to adhere to product sensitivities and plate presentations. To ensure that all food prepared meets Gene and Georgetti standard of excellence. Major Areas of Responsibility: Prepares foods and adheres to recipe requirements, product sensitivity and plate presentation Ensures that all food prepared meets Company's standard of excellence Keeps updated on recipe changes. Ensures proper execution of recipe procedures which maintain a high quality and consistent product As needed, may call orders to each cook for preparation, organizes the orders and completes the order with accompanying items and sauces Keeps entire kitchen clean, stocks and sets up station Keeps prepared food continuously flowing out of the kitchen Communicates ticket times and potential problems with the managers and expos Completes assigned prep work to stock and set up station. Breaks down and cleans station thoroughly everyday Cleans and sanitizes throughout the shift Operates and maintains equipment properly Ensures proper rotation of all products and stocks product to par. Labels all products Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and effectiveness At all times provides a favorable image of the Company to promote its aims and objectives and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all its areas of endeavor Complies with company ticket monitoring procedures Quality oriented in receiving all products, ensure wholesomeness and accuracy of order received Additional Responsibilities may include: Maintains high standards of food quality to guarantee guest satisfaction Maintains communication between BOH and FOH in a calm manner Inspects orders to ensure they are prepared properly and garnishes food with appropriate accompanying items and Inspects orders to ensure hot food is served hot, cold food is served cold and inferior products are never served Reads tickets correctly to ensure that all orders are complete Nonessential Functions: Performs assigned daily cleaning duties Assists other kitchen members with prep work and cleaning responsibilities Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested Accountabilities: Must be able to perform tasks while maintaining required standards of operation in daily restaurant activities. Must be able to perform duties to ensure guest satisfaction. Must produce items to 100% recipe to ensure guest satisfaction and control food costs. Follows food handling and sanitation procedures to control food costs and ensure guest and employee safety and morale Maintains Beautification Duties as assigned Maintains a "Clean as You Go" Mentality Adheres to all Sanitation and Safety Guidelines Qualification Standards: Safely and properly handle a knife Able to adhere to company hygiene policies Lifts and carries sacks and cases of up to 70 pounds up to 20 times per shift: places these items on high shelves and in walk in cooler Frequent bending and stooping Works frequently in a hot, cold and damp environment Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass and metal cans, burns, slipping, tripping 5 years Broiler experience required Able to lead and coordinate the line and manage proper ticket times Able to remain calm in a high pressure environment Able to organize 100's of steaks at one time while maintaining accurate temperatures Willing to teach others Able to hear managers requests in the midst of loud background noise Able to pass station validation Stands/walks most of shifts Uses hands 99% of time Able to obtain Allergen Certificate and Food Handlers Card Starting Pay: $22 - $25 per hour Expected hours: 25 +/- hours per week Benefits Include: Health Insurance, 401K
