Regional Operations Director - Southern California Location: Southern California (Venice, Santa Monica, West Hollywood) Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Position Summary: We are seeking an exceptional hands-on leader to take charge as Regional Operations Director for a multi-city launch of a high-profile, celebrity chef backed, premium brand in Southern California. This role will oversee locations in Venice, Santa Monica, and West Hollywood, ensuring excellence in food quality, operational efficiency, and financial performance. The ideal candidate has multi-unit operations leadership experience, a strong culinary background, with rich experience in high volume delivery, and solid knowledge of PandL management and performance metrics. They must be highly proactive, solutions-driven, and unafraid to step in, lead by example, and train in the moment. The ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and excellence in guest experience is critical. Ensure that cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation protocols are strictly followed in compliance with regulations. Be on the ground daily, working alongside teams to reinforce training and best practices - while there will be some remote admin responsibilities, the primary focus will be in the kitchens. Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement Drive a culture of continuous improvement"”always seeking ways to optimize processes and increase efficiency without compromising quality. Oversee food costs, labor efficiency, and expense management, ensuring all metrics align with business goals. Work closely with local teams to identify and implement operational enhancements to improve customer experience and profitability. Financial Oversight and Performance Metrics Own PandL performance for the region, ensuring profitability and financial health. Monitor and optimize cost controls, labor productivity, and revenue-driving initiatives. Use data-driven insights to drive decision-making, identifying areas for improvement. Team Training and Development Lead with kindness and clarity, ensuring teams feel supported while being held to high standards. Coach and develop culinary and operational teams, fostering accountability and leadership. Train staff in the moment, reinforcing high standards and best practices at all times. Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback, helping team members grow and excel in their roles. Ensure a strong pipeline of leaders who can scale with the brand's growth. Qualifications and Experience: Proven multi-unit operations leadership experience in a premium hospitality, restaurant, or food service setting. Strong culinary background, with expertise in kitchen operations, food quality, and consistency. Solid PandL management experience with a strong grasp of financial performance metrics. High emotional intelligence (EQ)"”able to lead, coach, and motivate teams effectively. A true hands-on leader"”must be comfortable jumping in, working alongside teams, and training in real time. Passion for efficiency and process improvement, always looking for ways to refine operations. Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) for reporting and collaboration. Certification in Food Safety and Sanitation (ServSafe or equivalent). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in launching and scaling operations within a multi-unit setting. Flexibility with your availability Ability to travel regularly between locations.
