POSITION SUMMARY The Club Room at the Soho Grand Hotel embodies New York City nightlife. This two-room lounge has the feel of being in your own private living room, glamorous and filled with music, featuring curated playlists, DJs, and live music. Under the guidance of the Club Room GM and Director of Food and Beverage, the Club Room FandB Manager oversees Club Room operations primarily during Live Music portion of the evening with additional support during the start of late night. The Club Room Manager is responsible for overseeing nightly operations and curating guest experience. Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring company standards and culture are upheld. The manager serves as the appointee of guest relations, while taking the necessary steps to achieve sales objectives, cost containment, team members retention, guest satisfaction/recognition cleanliness, and sanitation. The manager acts as an exemplary member of the company's hospitality philosophy and takes the necessary steps to achieve objectives in sales, cost containment, team members retention, guest satisfaction/recognition cleanliness, and sanitation. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Provide genuine, professional service as defined by Soho Grand's Service Culture. Follow through with guest requests; ensure service is timely, accurate and maintains a high service standard Manage restaurant team members with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests Maintain a meticulously clean/organized workspace, in accordance with look book standards set, and inventory par levels Enforcing standards of service on all levels and work on maintaining and improving them with all team members including appearance where necessary Assist in training and onboarding of new team members. Help with their development to improve their skills and confidence on the floor Conduct daily effective and informative pre-shift meetings with team members Demonstrate product knowledge and service standards at all times Oversee OSandE inventory Ensure weekly payroll tip sheet is accurate and complete every Thursday without any variances Update Food and Beverage look book Implement successfully seasonal menu changes Review menu sales mix and implement incentive programs based on high margin items Follow safety and evacuation guidelines Follow allergy protocols and train team members Follow public space and furniture look book guidelines Communicate any hotel guest issue with front office management team Recognize repeat guest Monitor team member performance in all phases of job functions, ensuring that all procedures are carried out to departmental standards; rectify any deficiencies, handle disciplinary problems and counsel team members with the Director of Food and Beverage according to company standards with the support of Casting and Culture Ensure that team member reports to work as scheduled. Document any late or absent team members and handle any scheduling conflicts/Issues during schedule shifts Handle comp and void checks in accordance with accounting procedures Assist servers with expediting problem payments. Ensure all cashiering procedures are processed in compliance with accounting standards Issue manual checks when the system is down and ensure accountability of such Run system-closing reports and ensure that all servers' checks are closed before they sign out Ensure all closing duties for team member are completed before team members sign out Assist with any logistical and administrative duties assigned by the Director of Food and Beverage and Club Room GM Communicating any maintenance or cleanliness issues to the proper channels Professionally and clearly communicate on company email Maintaining the space throughout the shift. Maintaining ambiance, sound and lights (including public spaces) Build and maintain a client list for re-inviting guests for live Jazz and late night Managing the programming schedule sheet with payment details, in addition, acquiring all W9s for payment Communicate all programming to marketing and PR for fliers, promotion and social media initiatives Check on website calendars and ensure nights are live with up to date detail Regularly update the Club Room programming calendar to keep FandB Director, GM and Marketing Director up to date Constantly searching for new music talents, hosts and promoters Constantly look for opportunities to grow Club Room email date base Setting up sound and checking for performances QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience working in high volume, luxury properties and, night life venues Excellent in guest service, and the ability to maintain professional service during peak periods Knowledge of food and all allergies related to food and beverage Food handler card Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal Provide legible communication Advanced Microsoft office Compute basic arithmetic Have the ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, carry multiple objects ABILITY TO Complete accurate inventory and maintain par levels for all FandB outlets Maintain DOH standards throughout shift and a clean workspace Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment Demonstrate ownership of the guest experience Follow directions thorough to completion Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
