Position: The Director of Outreach & Health Initiatives will be responsible for positioning and aligning a diverse set of services as a part of meeting NorthPoint's larger strategic agenda. This position will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to strengthen an already accomplished team of program leaders and staff and advance campus-wide integration with their healthcare clinic colleagues. At the same time, the Director will further enhance how a community service agency can empathetically listen and be responsive to a growing and changing community, while leveraging public health best practices. Education and Experience: Passion for NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center's mission, vision, and values, and an empathic, historically based, deeply rooted understanding of the North Minneapolis community. A bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, or related field with a minimum of 7 years of leadership and supervisory experience in a nonprofit or health care environment, required. Master's degree in public health, public administration, or related field with 5 years of leadership experience in a nonprofit or health care environment, preferred. Certified in Public Health (CPH) certification, a plus. Five years of experience in grant, program, and fiscal management with the ability to build and maintain innovative, strong, and stable programs to leverage strategic funding opportunities. Five years of demonstrated experience cultivating effective supervisory relationships with direct reports and strong relationships with senior level staff and teams. Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing diverse teams and supporting an inclusive workplace, where everyone has an opportunity for advancement that includes professional development and mentorship. Expertise leading teams in the areas of food security, preventative health, varied health insurance systems, maternal health, older adults, and community outreach, or other related fields with a focus on communities of color. Broad understanding of how to build and maintain effective collaborations across other program areas, departments, and various levels of staff across the organization with external partners and community. Ability: Work with staff in a broad spectrum across all levels of the organization to deliver high quality services; determine quality standards and implement improvements; apply and demonstrate a team approach to problem solving and daily work; plan and organize activities to accomplish goals; communicate with staff regarding performance improvement standards; utilize data to interpret quality issues and implement continuous improvement.
