Title: SEED (Seeking Educational Equity & Diversity) Co-Facilitator Assignment: 2025-2026 School Year Location: Winnetka and Northfield Campuses Stipend: Category D Supervisor: Director of Curriculum and Instruction General Responsibilities: The SEED Co-Facilitator works with other SEED co-facilitators to plan and lead monthly sessions of the SEED professional development program. The SEED co-facilitator is familiar with SEED materials and methods in preparation for leading SEED seminars at New Trier. Regular meetings with co-facilitators are necessary to prepare for each session. The co-facilitators work closely together to ensure that SEED I and SEED II are in alignm ent. Qualifications: Direct experience as a participant in SEED I and SEED II professional development programs within the last five years OR taking SEED II this school year. Other experiences that support the applicants' efforts towards understanding the need to work towards a more gender-fair, multiculturally equitable, socioeconomically aware, and globally informed education. Completion of facilitator training at the National SEED Project Leaders Week held in the summer. Knowledge and understanding of critical analysis and theory related to areas of difference, including race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and social class. Ability to effectively lead reflective conversations of difference and to implement the SEED professional development curriculum. Ability to work collaboratively with co-facilitators and facilitate with staff. Participate in SEED facilitator training in the spring or summer 2025. Position Expectations: Plan, organize, and lead each session of SEED I or SEED II. Meet regularly with the partner facilitator assigned to co-lead, to plan the implementation of the SEED curriculum. Maintain required attendance sheets and other ISBE paperwork to be submitted to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at the conclusion of SEED I or SEED II. #J-18808-Ljbffr
