Job Summary: Adjunct faculty are part-time (classroom or on-line) faculty hired to teach on a semester basis. Hiring Range: $1,281 per credit hour Preferred Qualifications: Fire service experience and to have previously served in a fire officer position Job Specific Task List: Teach courses in accordance with approved Form 335 description and learning outcomes - (Essential) Participate in the development, maintenance, and review of courses and programs of study related to the Fire Science program - (Essential) Maintain familiarity with college resources relating to career and transfer requirements, serve as a faculty advisor to assigned students, and refer students with non-academic and personal concerns to appropriate college offices - (Essential) Maintain accurate scholastic records of students enrolled in classes, provide timely feedback to students regarding their academic performance, and submit grades to the Record's Office per published schedules - (Essential) Job Type: Adjunct If part time, hours per week: Varies Equipment Requirements for part time, casual, adjunct and instructor positions: It is HACC's expectation that candidates selected for this role will provide their own technology equipment.
