Position Summary Teach two to three undergraduate computer science courses.The University of St. Francis is a welcoming community of learners committed to enhancing diversity and equity. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Participate in and promote a culture of continuing quality improvement Prepare and teach lessons Assign learning activities as appropriate Assess student learning Grade student work Meet with students Minimum Requirements Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Science Education (or equivalent) Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university Preferred Requirements Prior experience teaching computer science at the college level Ability to teach courses related to information technology, hardware, and/or programming languages Willingness to teach in-person, USF Main Campus in Joliet Hours/Shift/Work Schedule Part-time; as needed basis. Physical Requirements of Position Work is performed in classroom settings with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
