Our workplace culture is both friendly and dynamic, and in this role, you will have plenty of opportunities to interact with all members of our project teams.Key Contributions: This includes but is not limited to the following:Release travelers and work packages to the shop.Coordinate the activities of external service providers (paint, heat-treat, galvanize, etc.)Assist with the preparation of production plans, up to and including the day-by-day plans for specific projects that require close monitoring. Demonstrate initiative and sense of urgency by advising management of known scheduling conflicts and escalating scheduling issues timely when projects are in jeopardy.Collaborate with our manufacturing team to provide tactical and creative solutions to achieve tight customer schedules.Advise procurement & supply activities on material requirements and production schedule due dates. Determine the status of work in progress, time required to complete each job or work order, the availability of materials and tools required, and reassess priorities as needed. Update production schedules and transmit them to all relevant functions in and outside the Division. Provide support as the main point of contact with the suppliers of all outsourced fabrication activities, directing questions to the appropriate area of responsibility, following up as needed to ensure timely resolution, and making sure they have the current revision levels required to perform the job.Assist with internal communications for work in process.Ensure that engineering changes are controlled in the shop, management is notified, and router packages are collected and revised to reflect the current revision level. In addition, support management in removing obsolete parts from the shop. Assist with expediting jobs in progress by any appropriate means. Monitor, record, and report the status of production start dates and on-time deliveries. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required.A minimum of 3 years' experience is preferred but not required in any of these manufacturing job functions: Scheduler, Planner, or Document Control. Must possess proficiency in P6; or the willingness and ability to become proficient in P6, is required.Detailed fabrication knowledge in the heavy manufacture of pressure vessels, structural steel, and Oil and Gas Processing equipment is preferred but not required. Experience and thorough working knowledge of the various ASME vessel Codes is preferred but not required. Must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines utilizing excellent time management skills. Proficiency with computer applications, including MS Office applications and particularly MS Project, and MRP/ERP systems or their derivatives is required.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, etc. is required.The ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality is required.The ability to remain organized with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment is required. Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, are required.A positive attitude and reliable attendance are required.Experience in an ISO 9001 environment is preferred but not required. WORKING ENVIRONMENT:Frequent work with our manufacturing staff may be needed in our shop area, which is a heavy construction and fabrication environment. Must be able to follow all safety protocols while in our shop area.
