Alternatively, a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with three (3) to five (5) years of general landscape experience or trade school training is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in both written and oral form, possess verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate basic math abilities, have strong customer service skills, and be available as needed. Proficiency in the operation of computer applications and maintenance equipment such as basic tools, ladders, and landscaping tools is also required. Job Summary: This position is primarily responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and maintenance of outdoor spaces. And maintaining the safety and appearance of the property during the winter months. This includes snow and ice removal, maintaining winter equipment, and ensuring pathways and entryways are safe for use. This position involves managing landscape projects, coordinating with clients, and ensuring the health and aesthetics of the environment, for performing all aspects of landscaping maintenance. Must be available for on-call assignments during off hours and weekends as necessary. Key Responsibilities: Landscaping Duties Provides minor and general landscaping maintenance throughout Ingleside at King Farm * Obtains work orders from, Property Management Coordinator and/or assistant Director of Property Management at beginning of shift; completes paperwork. * Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by Supervisor, Coordinator or Assistant Director. Properly use basic hand tools, including lawn mower, weed-whacker, snow removal tools, etc. * Collaborate with landscape community, architects and designers to develop and implement landscape designs. * Communicating with residents to understand their needs and preferences, providing regular updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction. * Overseeing the maintenance of existing landscapes, including pruning, fertilizing, and pest control. * Sourcing and managing relationships with suppliers of plants, materials, and equipment. * Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and environmental standards. * Hiring, training, and managing a team of landscape workers, ensuring efficient and safe operations. * Responsible for always ensuring and maximizing excellent club appeal. Inspects exterior grounds and buildings. * Picks up trash on grounds, sidewalks and exterior grounds and buildings. * Cut grass and waters flowers, plants and shrubs as needed. * Plants, pots, repots flowers, bushes etc. Removes or cuts down flowers, bushes and tree trimming * Sweeps, blows and/or pressure washes sidewalks and common areas. * Clear snow from sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and other designated areas using shovels, snow blowers, or plows, apply salt, sand, or other de-icing agents to prevent and manage ice buildup. * Inspect and maintain snow removal equipment such as snow blowers, plows, and shovels to ensure they are in good working condition * Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snow and ice events to ensure the property remains safe and accessible. * Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor * Performs any other duties as assigned.
