SENIOR PRODUCTION PLANNERJob DescriptionL&J Technologies is looking for a forward thinking, experienced mechanical manufacturing based SeniorProduction Planner.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLong-term capacity planning, demand forecasting and aligning production goals with company objectives.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to optimize production planning and scheduling.Leverage data analytics tools and dashboards to analyze trends, forecast demand, and optimize production plans.Develop and maintain contingency plans to mitigate production risks, such as material shortages or equipment downtime. Learn the product catalog, understand what goes into building each product from start to finish to better optimize planning and forecasting going forward. Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectations. Analyze and prepare documents needed for production. Creates production schedule and prioritizes job-orders for production optimization. Maintains the production schedule and other reports as required. Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory. Perform regular reviews of material requirements planning (MRP) and placing orders accordingly. Timely and accurate placement of purchase orders. Implementing an optimized approach for monitoring purchase orders through utilization of system tools and generated reports. Interacts with Managers daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Customer Service, Accounting, Engineering and other departments as directed. Perform other functions on an as needed basis.RequirementsEducation:College Degree or 4 years of work experience preferred. High School diploma or GED required. APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is highly preferredWork Experience: 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Extensive experience with ERP/MRP systems: Infor is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Office products. Strong computer skills. Strong organizational and communication skills. Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines. Good customer service/phone skills and flexibility for handling a wide range of activities. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems. Demonstrate personal time management skills. Exhibited Knowledge of Analytical Thinking Excel Proficient including working knowledge of extracts, look ups and pivot tables Excellent Verbal and Written CommunicationExpectations: Set an example by actively contributing to department and company goals. Take the initiative and seek additional training or direction as needed. Build quality into work. Ensure processes are consistent with quality objectives. Be aware of current quality levels versus target levels. Make suggestions for improvement in the areas of cost reduction, processes, quality and productivity.
