"Extraordinary made simple"We are currently seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for our plant operations. We are seeking a person whose leadership drives results, while building trust and collaboration with all departments. ResponsibilitiesSupervision & Leadership:Supervise and manage a team of production operators and packaging staff on the 2nd shift, assigning daily tasks and provide guidance to team members.Ensure that all team members are trained and following operational procedures, including food safety and sanitation standards.Act as the first point of contact for resolving production issues and employee concerns during the shift.Motivate and encourage team members to meet performance goals and maintain high standards of work.Production Oversight:Monitor and adjust production processes to ensure that production schedules are met on time and efficiently ensuring high-quality production.Maintain records of production volumes, equipment performance, and other relevant data.Quality Control:Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA, USDA regulations).Oversee the implementation of quality control processes during production, ensuring all products meet the required specifications.Investigate and support the Quality team to resolve any quality issues or non-conformities and implement corrective actions.Perform regular inspections and audits of finished goods and raw materials for quality assurance. Safety and Compliance:Enforce all safety protocols and ensure employees are wearing necessary protective equipment.Promote a safety culture on the floor and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and food safety practices addressing any safety hazards and report incidents or accidents following company protocols.Communication and Coordination:Communicate production goals, updates, and challenges to the Production Manager and other departments.Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns are addressed in a timely manner.Ensure proper handover of production tasks and status updates to the next shift supervisor.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in production processes, efficiency, and cost reduction.QualificationsExperience:Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.Prior experience in a supervisory role, leading a team in a production setting.Skills & Abilities:Leadership and people management skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP, GMP, FDA, USDA).Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to manage production challenges.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software (ERP systems, etc.).Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for long periods of time and move around the production floor.Ability to lift up to50 pounds and work in an industrial environment with moderate noise.>Why Join Us:Irca Group offers career growth opportunities as well as competitive compensation and benefits: Medical, Dental, & Vision, 401(k) matching, Paid Vacation, and Holidays, Employee Education Tuition Reimbursement Program
